Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill
2010 VACATION GUARANTEE
As of
June 11, 2010
Fort Myers Beach is as “beautiful as ever” and there are no current indications that the gulf oil spill will be affecting our beaches.
It is the northern gulf coast region that continues to be threatened the most from this disaster and our thoughts and prayers go out to all residents in those areas affected.
While there has been talk of the possibility of oil entering the Gulf Loop Current, please keep in mind that the Loop Current (which runs south along the west coast of
Florida
to the Florida Straits) is located at least
90 miles
west of our beaches.
If oil were to get in to the loop it would be well offshore and away from our beaches.
We understand that you may have some concerns regarding the oil spill and how it may impact your summer vacation therefore we have implemented a
Vacation Guarantee policy, so that you can plan your vacation with confidence.
Our Vacation Guarantee Policy is as follows:
In the event a government agency issues a swimming advisory or beach closing related to the oil spill, and you choose to leave, we will refund the remaining portion of your unused rent.
In addition, if either one of the events mentioned above occur prior to your arrival, you will be given the opportunity to choose either a credit towards a future stay or a refund.
The advisory or beach closing must be for the area of the beach that you are staying in order for the Vacation Guarantee to be in effect.
Please feel free to contact us at 1-800-741-5694 should you have any further questions regarding this policy.
We look forward to seeing you at the beach!
